Sophie Choudry the hottest pop artist on the block now has a channel of her own on the world's most popular video destination YouTube. With this move Sophie is now just a click away from her fans on the YouTube channel called Channel Sophie!

With this move Sophie becomes the first celebrity in India to have launched an official celebrity YouTube channel in association with YouTube. Reveals a source, “Sophie is the only pop diva to have survived and is still going strong. She now joins the league of several talented international music
stars that have their own channels on YouTube. This is a step in the right direction as this brings the artist much closer to its fan base not only in India but across the globe, giving them a chance to share and engage with their followers.”

Sophie confirms the news saying, “Yes I’ve started my own channel on YouTube as it is becoming an increasingly popular way of reaching out to the fan base. I’m told I am the first female artist from India to have a channel on YouTube. The channel will showcase my videos, making of the videos and songs which will be accessible worldwide.”

Nicknamed Bonny, the 5'8" tall actress was born on January 7, 1979 in New Delhi.

As a kid, Bipasha was very mischivieous, in her own words "the Lady Goonda of the neighbourhood."

Bipasha is the second of three sisters. Her parents who were based in Delhi, later moved to Kolkata.

She was good in studies and was the prefect and also the head girl of Bhavan's Gangabux Kanoria Vidyamandir in Kolkata.

In Kolkata, she did modelling and rampshows partime. Bipasha started her modelling career at 16.

Though she wanted to be a doctor, her aversion for dissections made her opt for chartered accountancy.

Bips entered the world of modelling and acting quite by accident, as initially she had planned to study medicine.

In 1996, she met well-known model Mehr Jessia who suggested that Bipasha take part in the Godrej Cinthol Supermodel contest. She eventually participated, and won the contest.

She went on to be the Ford Supermodel of the World in December 1996. Her modelling contracts took her to New York and Paris.

Katrina Kaif vs Zarine Khan?

While Katrina is busy observing 'Twilight's' Robert Pattinson, there is someone else who can't take her eyes off Katrina. 'Veer' female lead Zarine Khan said that she doesn't mind being compared to her 'Veer' co-star Salman Khan's girlfriend, Katrina Kaif.

In a recent interview, Zarine said that Katrina is so beautiful that even she couldn't take her eyes off her.

However, Zarine admitted that she personally couldn't find any similarities between her and Katrina: ''Being compared to her is always a delight. Personally speaking, when I see myself in the mirror, I find no similarities,'' said Zarine.

''I had heard that he is a very tough guy, he hardly speaks. But he spoke to me very nicely... maybe because I met him first as a fan. In due course I realised whatever has been written about Salman is not true. He is so sweet. He has a heart of gold. He is a very genuine man,'' she adds. So, is something burning Katrina?

But Zarine gushes on about Salman. ''Salman is a huge actor and I am one of his great fans,'' she says.

Salman Khan has been famous for choosing look-alikes of his past flames for his upcoming movies. Sneha Ullal was chosen for the lead role of 'Lucky- No time for love' after Sallu's infamous break up with Aishwarya Rai.

Legends have it that, it was exactly on this day, around 35 years ago, the Lord Almighty, pleased with the prayer requests of the Earth residents for 'Perfect Man', decided to bless them with a 'Miracle'. No prizes for guessing that it was none other than God's very own favourite child Hrithik Roshan, who also happens to be our today's Birthday boy!
